§ 18-34. Charges when meter fails.

When the director determines that a bill was based on a reading from a meter that failed to register in accordance with industry standards (AWWA C700a-91, section 3.8, Registration Accuracy), the director may adjust the consumer's bill based on the consumer's prior billings and use. Adjustments, whether in the form of additional charges or refunds, shall be for a period that does not exceed three years.
