§ 18-96. Limitations on discharge of nondomestic wastes.

  • (a)

    No significant industrial user shall discharge industrial waste into the sanitary sewer system unless he has obtained an industrial waste discharge permit in accordance with this article.

    (b)

    No significant industrial user shall discharge waste that contains a total mass quantity of BOD or suspended solids that would unreasonably consume the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant or its designed capability for hydraulics, organic loading, or nutrient removal.

    (c)

    Discharges by significant industrial users shall be subject to the strong waste surcharge fee imposed by this article.
