The board of supervisors may provide that members of designated advisory boards, committees,
authorities and commissions, created by the board pursuant to Code of Virginia, §
15.2-1411 shall (i) be reimbursed the actual expenses incurred by them while serving
on such advisory boards, committees, authorities and commissions, and (ii) be compensated
for their services at a rate not to exceed $50.00 for attendance per meeting and not
to exceed a total of $3,000.00 per calendar year, unless otherwise permitted by law.
