§ 2-21. Department of accounting.

The department of accounting shall operate a system of centralized accounting for the county, the Chesterfield County School Board, the Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Department of Social Services and other agencies as the board may designate. The department shall perform such accounting, payroll, accounts payable and financial reporting services as required. The school board may perform its own payroll services.
