§ 4-55. Treatment of persons bitten by or exposed to rabid animal.
Latest version.
Any person bitten by a rabid animal in the county shall be paid the costs of necessary treatment from the dog license tax fund, not to exceed $500.00; provided, that the director of the county health department shall first treat any such case of rabies, and no person shall be entitled to recover the cost of necessary treatment unless he first applies to the director for treatment and the director refuses or fails to treat him.
