§ 5-7.6. Same—Declaration of nuisance.
In lieu of the acquisition of blighted property by the exercise of the powers of eminent domain as herein provided, and in lieu of the exercise of other powers granted in sections 5-7.1 through 5-7.4, the board of supervisors, by ordinance, may declare any blighted property to constitute a nuisance, and thereupon abate the nuisance pursuant to state law. Such ordinance shall be adopted only after written notice by certified mail to the owner or owners at the last known address of such owner as shown on the current real estate tax assessment books or current real estate tax assessment records.
