§ 6-46. Going-out-of-business sales.

Any person desiring to advertise or conduct a going-out-of-business sale for a retail business or any sale intending to insinuate that the retail business is to be discontinued and the business merchandise liquidated must obtain a special permit therefor from the commissioner of the revenue pursuant to Code of Virginia, § 18.2-223, and shall comply with the provisions of Code of Virginia, § 18.2-224. Such permit shall be renewed as required by law. The fee for each special permit and renewal permit issued under this section shall be $50.00.
