§ 9-142. Exemptions.

Latest version.

The following persons shall be exempt from the payment of the tax provided for herein:
(a)

The United States of America, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and all political subdivisions, boards, agencies, commissions and authorities of the state.

(b)

Volunteer rescue squads.
