§ 9-151. Definitions.

For the purposes of this article, the following words and phrases mean as follows, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Hotel: Any public or private hotel, inn, hostelry, tourist home or house, tourist cabin, camping grounds, motel, rooming house or other lodging place within the county offering lodging for compensation to any transient.

Transient: Any person who, for a period of less than 30 consecutive days, either at his own expense or at another's expense, obtains lodging at any hotel, as defined in this section.
