§ 15-192. Probationary permit.

  • (a)

    The chief of police may issue a probationary taxicab driver's permit to a driver who fails to meet the standards set forth in section 15-189(a) or 15-208 upon the recommendation of a court whose conviction of the applicant resulted in ineligibility for a permit; however, a probationary permit shall not be issued to such driver sooner than 12 months from the date of revocation of the driver's permit or 12 months from the date of conviction, guilty plea, or plea of nolo contendere, whichever date is later.

    (b)

    A probationary permit shall be effective until such time as the driver is eligible for reissuance under section 15-191; however, a probationary permit may be revoked at any time by the chief of police upon a finding of violation of any provisions of this article.
