§ 2-43. Same—Policies and procedures.

  • Consistent with the provisions of this article, the county's Charter, or state law, and subject to the approval of the county administrator, with such authority delegated to the county administrator by the board of supervisors, the county procurement director is authorized to adopt, promulgate and amend rules, regulations, policies or procedures for the following purposes:

    (a)

    Prescribing the manner in which goods, services, insurance, and construction shall be procured and delivered.

    (b)

    Providing for the disposal of surplus goods on behalf of the county.

    (c)

    Providing for such other matters as may be necessary to administer and enforce such rules, regulations, policies and procedures, the provisions of this article, and applicable provisions of the Virginia Public Procurement Act (Virginia Code Sections 2.2-4300, et seq.).
