§ 2-92. "Unclaimed personal property" defined.
Latest version.
As used in this article, "unclaimed personal property" means any personal property belonging to another which (i) has been acquired by a law enforcement officer pursuant to his duties, (ii) is not needed in any criminal prosecution, (iii) has not been claimed by its rightful owner, and (iv) will be declined, as indicated by the state treasurer, if remitted under the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act.
