§ 3-47. Charitable gaming.

(a)

The provisions of Code of Virginia, tit. 18.2, ch. 8 (Code of Virginia, § 18.2-340.15 et seq.), commonly referred to as the Charitable Gaming Law, shall control all matters concerning the operation of bingo, instant bingo, and raffles in the county.

(b)

Organizations operating bingo games, instant bingos, or raffles in the county in accordance with the Charitable Gaming Law are not illegally gambling under this article.

(c)

Notwithstanding paragraphs (a) and (b), no organization shall conduct bingo games between midnight and 8:00 a.m.
